Our Story

Rescue Fabrics began with a shared love of creating and a deep respect for the stories held within fabric.

We are a mother and daughter team, both nurses by profession — one retired, one still practicing — and caregivers at heart. Creating with our hands became a meaningful extension of that care: a way to slow down, connect, and make something lasting.

Our name, Rescue Fabrics, reflects what we believe in. Sentimental clothing and textiles often end up tucked away in attics or forgotten altogether. We rescue these fabrics and give them new life, transforming them into keepsakes that honour memories, loved ones, and life’s milestones.

Through careful sewing and embroidery, we create memory bears, custom appliqué sweatshirts, and embroidered keepsakes using materials that already carry meaning. Each piece is made by hand, with intention, patience, and respect for the items entrusted to us.

This work is not about mass production or trends. It’s about preserving what matters, creating with care, and treating every story as unique.

We’re honoured to be trusted with so many personal memories, and grateful to create pieces that can be held, gifted, and cherished for years to come.
